Funny things I get to witness

Yesterday I was watching Carson play with a toy he gotten for his birthday... it's a Musical, pop dinosaur, when you put the balls in it the belly they pop up and down and then eventually go down the Dino's open mouth... This what I found in there... a stacking peg and a CD case along with the many ball jumping around. He was so proud of himself.

Then later when we were in the office I found Tiny "loving" Lucy. That dog has the patience of Job with that little guy.

This morning Tiny, who isn't so Tiny anymore and is walking with the aid of furniture crawled into the kitchen where I was by the dishwasher, he pulled himself up with the aid of my pant leg and he reached as far as he could and was able to turn on the dishwasher! Maybe he thought daddy hadn't run it last night, or he just wanted to see if he could make it turn, either way he was successful. Now the dishes are extra clean.

In need of a driver

Being home with my little guy gives me time to blog about our time together-I'd mentioned in my last entry that Carson got his first car, well now here's what I found the other day when he was playing... Shortly after I took these pictures there he sits in the trailer waiting, looking up at me and smiling. Is the mama suppose to be the driver? If only I fit. I'm not sure if he wants to be the passenger, sitting in his trailer or the driver you decide.... Where's cousin Xavier when you need him?

Christmas review and January haps

Christmas was great! Carson got his first car! Grandpa Mike and Grandma Char got both Xavier and Carson Cozy coops and boy have they changed since I was a kid, they've got a door that locks, a foot board that can be removed when they get old enough to use their legs well enough to move it on their own. A key that pulls out and turns, a steering wheel that moves and a horn that beeps! The funnest thing I think it has is a hitch, there's even a trailer that attaches!

Mama and Dad love the pretzel maker that we received, it's great!

January has been a challenge for me health wise, it looks like I'm going to be talking to my doctor about surgery. Ugh! But if it helps decreases my seizures and the yuckiness that I feel after taking my pills I'm all for it. It's really horrible when I'm scared to go anywhere where I might have a seizure in public or places where the people there have never witnessed a seizure.

First visit to Santa

Last Saturday we took the little ones to see Santa. Last year Tiny was too sick to get to see Santa but this year he found it pretty enjoyable. I laughed at their willingness to go sit on his lap. Xavier tried numerous times to get into other people's pictures and they loved playing with the "tracking" equipment while waiting their turn.

Here are a few pictures of Carson and Xavier... In one it looks as if Carson might be afraid but he was really just trying to take the teddy bear away from the photographer. Their jammies say Santa's Helper on them just in case you wondered.

Saturday the 10th we went with my "other" family aka Corby's family to ride the Polar Express in Heber. It was awesome! I've read the book and so being on the train reminded me alot of how I've felt when I read the story myself. Grandma Alaine got all the grand kids pajamas that matched, the boys had the same monkey pattern on theirs as did the little girls and Shaylyn had snazzy purple monkey pj's.

The looks on their faces was totally worth it! Carson had a blast! He made singing noises along with the choir on the train and interacted alot with cousin Ailey. It was about 10 minutes too long for Carson to remain happy as we got his coat back on he started to scream and cry. Corby felt embarrassed he had said to me on the way home, but hey he's 13 months and it was late when we got back to the car.

The kids loved seeing the North pole and Santa who got aboard the train and gave each child a bell of their own. Carson loved the cookies he stole from both mom and dad.

The joys of being a mom

There are tough times being a mom especially when your child is sick or when your husband works six days a week, but there's those moments too that you just laugh out loud because he's discovered something and flashes that winning smile. Like this morning when he found the blocks that we get out for the season that say let it snow. The look on his face when he banged those blocks together and realized they made a sound was priceless. Then there was yesterday when he pulled out the bottom drawer beneath our entertainment center and hid pens and other such stuff then "discreetly" closed it. Then later that night after Corby got home he went over there and opened it and pulled out what he'd put in there.
